Training, dual study and
 triple study programmes

Your first day is guaranteed to be special both for you and for us. It is always exciting to meet new people and to work together with them. The following sections describe how we envisage your start with us.

Your first day with us

Before your first workday, our Onboarding team will contact you via your private email address to inform you about how you will be provided with IT equipment, an employee ID and the scheduling of the Onboarding event.

A good start

During your first days with us you will gain a sound overview of PwC in general as well as our IT programs and all you need to know about training and study. You will get to know your fellow trainees and students and will thus start to build up your network from day one – a vital resource within our sector. You might have received another invitation for a different onboarding event called the Welcome Day. You can ignore any such invitation. The Start-Up Days are especially for trainees and students and are therefore what matters in your case.

Your buddy

Before you start with us, you will be assigned a buddy. This more experienced trainee or student will get into contact with you and act as your personal point of contact for any questions that you might have. Please note that we will need your consent to use your private email in order to arrange this. You will receive the relevant form with your invitation to the Start-Up Days.

Employee ID Card

The employee ID with your photo provides a visible signal of your affiliation with our company. With this ID, you will be welcome at all of our 21 branches and you can also use it for cashless payment in the canteens at these locations.

Note: In order to collect your employee ID, it is absolutely necessary that you have a valid form of photo identification (official identity card or passport) with you. If you do not have such identification, we will not be able to give you your employee ID.

If you have any questions about the preparation or collection of your company ID, please contact our staff in Site Management by phoning +49 69 9585 7868.

IT Equipment

In order to ensure maximum mobility and flexibility, we provide our staff with a wide range of IT equipment based on their needs. You will be provided with additional information during your first week of work and via our intranet.

If you have any questions about IT equipment, then please contact the IT Service Desk by calling +49 69 9585 9999.

Dress code

We recommend you wear business casual for your first day of work. Your team will provide you with more detailed information about your subsequent time with PwC.

Audit

If you are graduating from a dual-curriculum programme in the area of financial auditing, then you are also to participate in the Onboarding Week. This will provide you with more detailed insights into our Assurance service line and the systems that we use there.

Course preparation

A good knowledge of maths is advantageous for successful studies in the fields of economics and business informatics. For this reason, we recommend that you take an assessment test to check your knowledge, in which you will be asked about basic topics in school mathematics. If the result of the test is below 75%, we recommend that you refresh your mathematical knowledge. To do this, you can look at the topics yourself in order to fill in any gaps. The test is anonymous, non-binding and free of charge. Alternatively, you can find out on the website of your university whether a maths course is offered before you start your studies.
