Your application to PwC Germany

 Our application process
 & tips for your application

Our application process

Finding a job and creating a profile

Just go to our job postings. You can find all the positions currently being advertised there. You can sign up for our application process using our applicant tool. Setting up and filling in your application profile takes 10-15 minutes.

Submitting your application

Fill in your personal application profile in the tool. Now just add your paperwork and answer a few final questions. As soon as you have submitted your application, we will confirm its receipt within a very short time.

Our response

Our teams from Recruiting and the platforms will review your paperwork and subsequently provide you with an initial qualified response within 2 weeks.

Getting to know one another

The selection process begins: In a personal interview, you will have the opportunity to get to know us better, ask your questions and tell us even more about yourself.

Signing the employment contract

Once you have been accepted, there is only one thing left to do: Sign your employment contract with PwC Germany. That's it! We look forward to welcoming you to the team.

Your first day

On your first day of work, you will take part in our New Joiner Day with the other new joiners at your location. For starters, we welcome you here and provide you with an initial overview of PwC Germany. Your future team then picks you up for lunch before you all go to your new workplace together.

Application package

Your CV

Your CV should provide an overview indicating your previous relevant career stages. Dividing it into meaningful sections would be optimal (academic career, professional experience, skills, etc.) with the corresponding dates. Ideally, your CV shouldn't be longer than two standard DIN-A4 pages.

Your references and certifications

Remember to attach all your important references and certifications to your application. These include your high school and university diplomas, certificates, and additional qualifications, supporting documents for periods spent abroad, and of course your references from earlier employers.

Application photograph

You can also add a photograph to your paperwork, but you don't have to! If you decide to include a photograph with your paperwork, make sure that it was taken professionally.

Preparation for the job interview

You should ask any questions you have so that you can get a good idea of us, so make sure to think about what you want to know about the job in addition to the information in the posting and what you want to know more about (e.g. working climate, benefits, etc.)

We also want to use the chance to introduce ourselves to you and give you a good overview of our work. We don't expect you to learn all our corporate figures by heart, but it is certainly an advantage if you inquire about our company in advance. This will make it easier for you to link specific ideas to the topics and pose more detailed questions. If you want to use your notes for this, that is no problem at all since it just indicates to us that you are well prepared.

Furthermore, of course we want to take the opportunity to learn more about you than is available in your application package. In doing so, we are most interested in your personality. What is important to you? Why are you interested in the job? What are your expectations for your employer? What motivated you to decide on the previous stages of your life?

We are looking forward to meeting you!

The job interview

We can get to know one another better in a personal conversation. In doing so, your personality is the most important thing for us. True to our motto "Be yourself. Be different", we foster a corporate culture where everyone is appreciated with their individual skills and facets. So please just be yourself.

Use the conversation to pepper us with all the questions you feel strongly about. This should allow you to have an impression which is as tangible as possible regarding how it would be to work for us, since that is the only way you can make a sound decision.

Surely you are still asking yourself what the dress code is. Just aim for business casual.

We are very much looking forward to meeting you.

My first days at PwC Germany

Your first few days with a new employer are definitely special – for you, but also for us. It is always exciting to meet new people and work together with them.
On your first day of work, you will take part in our New Joiner Day with the other new employees at your location. For starters, we welcome you and provide you with an initial overview of PwC Germany in general, as well as our IT programs and your platform in particular. Your future team then picks you up for lunch before you all go to your new workplace together. You receive your employee ID and the necessary (technical) equipment on your first day.
In order to make your start with us as comfortable as possible, we invite you to a one-week onboarding event with many other new joiners within the first few weeks. You can establish your initial (nationwide) network there and find out further details about and insights into PwC Germany as an employer.

Furthermore, as soon as you join the company, you are assigned a buddy who helps you get your bearings in your new daily working life at PwC. Your buddy is there to answer any of your professional or personal questions.
